Gov. Yusuf reads riot act to handlers of Ramadan feeding program over deficiencies
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed dismay over the ongoing Ramadan Feeding program in the metropolis.
SOLACEBASE reports that the governor decried the poor quality of the foods, the quantity and the unhygienic cooking of the food.

A statement issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor’s Spokesperson, on Friday, said the governor was disappointed with the program during an impromptu visit to one of the feeding centres at Gidan Maza, Municipal Local Government area.
‘’Governor Yusuf also conveyed his dissatisfaction with the conduct of the program handlers, whom he believes are depriving the intended beneficiaries,’’ the statement said.
“We will not accept dishonesty and mismanagement of public resources. It is imperative to note that the allocated funds for this initiative are meticulously documented at each centre” the Governor cautioned

According to the statement, the governor said the impromptu visit would continue and threatened to take drastic measures on any of the defaulters in the handling of the feeding program.
The Governor conducted the inspection following intelligence reports implying deficiencies in the management of the feeding program at various centres across the metropolis.
