Gov Yusuf requests Kano assembly approval for creation of four new ministries
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has written to the state assembly requesting for the creation of four new ministries.
According to the letter read on the floor of the assembly on Tuesday by the speaker, Jibrin Ismail Falgore, the creation of the new ministry is to enhance the development of the state and its growing needs.

SOLACEBASE reports that the new ministries the governor is seeking approval from the assembly for creation are the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and PovertyEradication, Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Internal Security and Special Service and Solid Minerals Reources Ministry.
Other letters from the governor received by the assembly include the approval for the dissolution of the assembly commission with the names of new members, four names as commissioner nominees and members of the state executive council, replacement of the name of a member of the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission Barrister Dandago with Mal. Lawal Badamosi.
Falgore subsequently adjourned the sitting to April, 2nd 2024.
