A Kano High Court presided by Justice Suleiman Baba NaMallam on Tuesday restrained Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission from arresting four aides of Emir of Kano.
This followed a motion exparte filed by Barr A B Mahmud SAN seeking the order of the court to stop the state Anti-graft body from arresting or harassing the plaintiffs in the suit.
The plaintiffs in the suit are Munnir Sanusi, who holds the traditional title of Damburan Kano, Mujitaba Abba and the Accountant of Kano Emirate Council Sani Muhammad-Kwaru
Also the defendants in the suit are Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission and the state Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice.
The judge then adjourned the matter to 13th June 2019 for the hearing of the motion on notice
However, in an interview with Solacebase, Chairman Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission , Muhuyi Magaji Rimigado said he was not aware of any court order restraining the Commission from arresting the three aides of the Emir.
