How abducted BUK student regained freedom
The abducted student of Bayero University, Kano, Sakina Bello, has regained her freedom.
The 300 level student abducted around Rijiyar Zaki on Gwarzo road in the Kano metropolis, regained her freedom on Thursday afternoon, according to Police.
Police Spokesman in Kano DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa told Solacebase that the young lady resurfaced in Sabon Gari quarters, Fagge local government area and called her family member on phone explaining how she escaped from the kidnappers den.
According to the police image maker, no ransom was paid as the university undergraduate has been reunited with her family.

However, DSP Kiyawa noted that investigation into her abduction is ongoing, promising that the command will get to the root of the crime.
Efforts to get reactions from the family of the victim proved abortive as they are not willing to talk. Although one of them that spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed the story of the police.
It could be recalled that Sakina Bello, a 300-level student of Botany at Bayero University, Kano while on transit in a tricycle, popularly known as ”adaida ta. Sahu”
The abduction was said to have occurred along the Janbulo and Rijiyar Zaki area of the Kano metropolis on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old student had left her home in Rjiyar Zaki at about 3pm and was headed for Janbulo when she was kidnapped.
According to a family member, the abductors subsequently made contact and demanded N100million ransom.
