ICPC charges youths to take strong stand against corruption

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), has appealed  Nigerian youths to be strong and stand against corruption at all times in other to move the nation forward.

The Commission gave this charge through Hon. Justice  Adamu Bello(retd), a  member of Commission governing board on Thursday in Kano during the presentation of awards to winners of 20th national ICPC  competition 2020.

Solacebase reports that, during the anniversary, Faziyya Ishaq SSI student from Kano Capital wins the 6th position of Essay competition and Francis Chinedu Okolo came 3rd position in the Music competition.

The  ICPC  Board member also noted that the essay and other competitions were aimed at driving the fight against corruption into the consciousness of young people with the hope that those who have participated in the competition would become a reference point in the society.

On his part one of the ICPC’s awardee Chinedu appealed to his colleagues to say ‘No’ to corruption by changing their perception to corruption and ways of doing things; by changing their friends’ perceptions and attitudes; and by being honest at all time and doing the right thing even when nobody is watching.

Fauziyya who is a Kano indigene who won in the competition noted that integrity and being honest pays because it opens the door of success.
