Jaiz Partners BUK On Halal Product’s Promotion

The board of Jaiz International Halal Certification Limited (JIHCL) on Tuesday revealed that, it has successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bayero University Kano (BUK) as a step in ensuring an effective partnership for the promotion of Halal products and services in the country.
Speaking to newsmen after the signing processes Chairperson of Jaiz International Halal Certification Limited (JIHCL) and member of the delegation, Hajiya Zainab Abdurrahman revealed that, JIHCL has observed that the University has acquired some of the basic machinery required in determining the status of products which JIHCL found to be very useful in line with its mandate.

According to her Jaiz International Halal Certification Limited is the Flagship Company in Halal Industry in Africa and the world at large. It’s bench-marked for quality services that is unmatched in the industry with dedicated professional and Shari’ah Advisory Board that is versed, credible and multi-disciplinary expertise in sub-Saharan Africa adding that JIHCL was incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 6th December 2018.

“Halal Certification is a recognition that the products so certified are permissible under Islamic law. These products are therefore edible, drinkable or usable for Muslim and Jaiz International Halal Certification Limited is a prominent player in the certification industry,” she stated.

She added that the collaboration between the University and JIHCL will no doubt improve and grow the business in Nigeria stressing that their entry will be a positive game-changer in the Nigerian business community.

“We have observed that the university has some of the machinery required in determining whether a product is Halal or otherwise. However, the MoU signed will enable us to work hand-in-hand with the university in executing our work effectively. The MoU will also create a good synergy between us and the BUK which will in short time strengthen the partnership. We will as well be using the university facilities in determining product when the need arises, “she said.

During the signing, BUK delegation was led by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello while the Chairperson of JIHCL signed the MoU on behalf of JIHCL and the VC Muhammad Yahuza Bello signed for and on behalf of BUK.
