The Speaker of Jigawa State House of Assembly, Isah Idris has been impeached.
At the sitting on Thursday, the speaker was impeached by 20 out of the 30 members of the house that voted in what appeared to be an emergency seating.
Solacebase recalled that on Tuesday the Assembly had to suspend sitting when there was rancor where the Mace was damaged , hence Journalists were prevented from covering the happenings.
A former speaker, Idris Garba also known as Kareka was unanimously voted in as the newly elected speaker of the house shortly after the impeachment of Idris.
