JUST IN: Abducted Kano businessman regains freedom

Abducted Kano businessman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Kalos, after 4 days has regained his freedom.

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Kalos was abducted from his residence at Minjibir, Minjibir local government area of the state 4 days ago

A reliable source in the community confirmed to Solacebase that two of the businessman relatives returned home with him around 4:00 am on Saturday, from a village in Babura local government area of Jigawa State.

Solacebase reports that the abductors in their communication with the victim’s family on Friday were demanding for N15m ransom.

However, it was not clear whether a ransom was paid to his abductors who in a brazen operation on Wednesday night burnt overpowered the police burning down a police van.

Also, confirming his release, to Solacebase, the Police Public Relations Officer,  Kano command DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said they rescued the victim from the abductors early on Saturday morning

Although a source in Minjibir who spoke with the family confirmed to Solacebase that the Police were not involved in the release of the businessman.
