The All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate, Senator Smart Adeyemi, has won the Kogi West senatorial district election.
Announcing the results on Saturday at the collation center in Kogi State, the returning officer of the election, Professor Olajide Lawal, said Smart Adeyemi has emerged winner of the election.

He said Senator Adeyemi polled a total of 88,373 votes to defeat Senator Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 62,133 votes.
