The mother of the Emir of Kano, Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero, Hajiya Maryam Ado Bayero is dead.
Solacebase reports that the late Hajiya Maryam is also the mother of another first-class chief, the Emir of Bichi, Alh. Nasiru Ado Bayero.
Hajiya Maryam passed on early Saturday in Cairo, Egypt after a protracted illness, a palace source confirmed.

The palace source told Solacebase that arrangements are in top gear to bring the corpse for burial in Kano.
The late Maryam was a Princess and aunty to the present Emir of Ilorin Alh. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.
