The European Union on Tuesday donated 50 million Euros to Nigeria for the fight the Coronavirus pandemic.
Head of the EU delegation Amb Ketil Karlsen announced the donation when he met President Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chambers, State House, Abuja on Tuesday.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, made this known through a tweet.
Mr Adesina said at while announcing the donation, the leader of the EU delegation commended Buhari for extending Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja lockdown.

The delegation explained that the donation is the single largest donation to any African country.
President Muhammadu Buhari in his response commiserated with the Union over the death recorded so far from the pandemic.
The president similarly thanked the delegation for the donations assuring that the donation will be used judiciously and transperently
