A former House of Representatives member from Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State Kano, Dr Abdullahi Maikano Rabiu is dead
Solacebase reports that the former lawmaker and Veterinary Doctor died on Thursday of COVID-19 at Kwanar Dawakin Isolation centre, in Kano.
Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa who announced the death on behalf of the family told Solacebase that arrangement is been put in place for the burial of the late former Special Adviser to Governor Ibrahim Shekarau led administration on Economic matters and Private Sector Development.
Dr Abdullahi Maikano Rabiu was Assistant General Manager, Corporate Banking, Bank of the North, former Chairman, Kano Micro Finance Bank and House of Representative member in the second republic.
Also, he was elected into the Senate in 1998 under UNCP during the Sani Abacha regime
Until his death, he was the Dallatun Bichi and District Head of Dawakin Tofa.
The deceased, who died at the age of 72, left behind one wife and many relations.
