Fire has destroyed an office at the Federal College of Education Kano on Sunday night. Solacebase learnt.
According to an eyewitness, the fire incident started around 9.30 pm and was attributed to a power surge.
Solacebase gathered that efforts of Fire Servicemen, security personnel and some students helped quenched the fire and did not spread to other offices.
”The office affected is where old examination booklets are kept,” said the witness.
The eyewitness said nobody sustained injury in the course of the fire outbreak.
However Solacebase learnt that the Provost of the institution Dr. Sadi Suraj is on ground at the scene of the fire with other management staff to support efforts to extinguish the fire
Efforts to speak with the school Public Relations Officer, Auwal Mudi Yakasai proved abortive as his telephone was not connecting.
