The Presidential Task Force Committee on Covid-19, on Sunday, said coronavirus pandemic is responsible and the cause of the waves of mysterious deaths recorded in Kano State.
The Leader of the team in Kano, Dr Nasiru Sani Gwarzo hinted this in an interview with journalists in Kano on Sunday at the donation event of mobile testing laboratory facilities by Aliko Dangote Foundation to Kano State Government.
He explained that the recent spike in deaths in the state, with the verbal autopsy and test carried out, it has been established that COVID-19 is the cause of most of the death.

Solacebase reports that increasing deaths in Kano recently which was said to be in the region of over 650 led the to the deployment of a Presidential Taskforce committee led by, Dr Nasiru Sani Gwarzo.
‘’With the preliminary report, most of the deaths recorded of recent and test carried out indicated that coronavirus is the cause. Hence before the final reports which would be ready in the next one week or few days, it is necessary for people of the state to wake up from their slumber that this is a serious issue at hand, ‘’said Dr Gwarzo.
