Member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Abdulmumini Jibrin-Kofa has been released on bail after he was arrested earlier on Friday by the Police in Kano.
Solacebase recalled that Abdulmumini Jibrin-Kofa was arrested with Bebeji Local Government Council Chairman, Ali Namadi with the council Secretary over alleged attack on the convoy of former Kano state governor , Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso that led to the death of two persons , several injured and property valued at millions of naira destroyed on Thursday at Kofar village , Bebeji local government area.
The state Police Commissioner Muhammad Wakili who visited the scene of the attack on Friday morning expressed disgust over the buring of about five vehicles earlier today before his arrival with the AIG in charge of Zone 1, Dan Bature.
Confirming the release of the lawmaker to Solacebase, the Command’s Spokesman DSP Abdullahi Haruna said Abdulmumini Jibrin-Kofa was given administrative bail and would be invited when the need arises.
“He was interrogated at the Criminal Investigation Department with other suspects, ‘’said DSP Haruna.
