JUST IN: Sheikh Abduljabbar is not seriously sick-Lawyer, NCoS

The Nigerian Correctional Service, Kano state Command, has described as a malicious and false report in the public domain that fiery  Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara, who is in its custody, is seriously ill.

The Service is calling on the general public to discountenance this falsehood which is a figment of the imagination of the author.

This was contained in a statement issued by Kano state Command Spokesman, DSC Musbahu K/Nasarawa and sent to Solacebase on Thursday

Solacebase reports that a story has been trending on social media insinuating that Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasir Kabara is seriously sick to the extent that he’s bleeding blood at a Correctional facility in Kano.

The story was attributed to his lawyer Yakubu Abdullahi as he alleged the Cleric was poisoned at the centre.

According to the statement, Sheikh Abduljabbar Kabara is accorded the awaiting trial privileged of eating food prepared for him by his family and even the water he drinks are all from his family that supply that and gives to him after inspection by the Correctional centre officers.

Speaking to Solacebase on Thursday morning, Sheikh Abduljabbar’s Lawyer, Barrister Rabiu Shuiabu Abdullahi corroborated the Correctional Centre story.

‘’It is a lie, there was no such story from me that Sheikh Abduljabbar is seriously sick and may have been poison, said Barrister Rabiu Abdullahi.’’

‘’I am the only Lawyer representing the Cleric and the person that can speak on his behalf.’’

‘’Although the Cleric is sick but the Correctional Centre has been supportive very well to us  and our client, hence that story is not true’’

‘’Please we rely on people like you to tell the true story to the public,’’
