The Supreme Court on Friday dismisses the appeal filed by Abdullahi Ganduje and APC against Abba Kabir Yusuf and PDP over the introduction of 8 new witnesses in the Kano governorship election petition tribunal.
Solacebase recalled that in the course of hearing of the petition filed by Abba Kabir Yusuf and PDP, challenging the electoral victory of governor Abdullahi Ganduje in the March governorship election, the petitioners requested inclusion of additional 8 witnesses which the tribunal dismissed in an interlocutory ruling on July, 16 2019.
However, the petitioners appealed the ruling, at Court of Appeal in Kaduna where the tribunal led by Justice Halima Shamaki was ruled to have erred on July 29th.
The five-man panel of the Supreme Court led by Justice Mary Peter Odili on Friday unanimously upheld the court of appeal ruling.

The judgment was read by Justice Kumai Bayang Akas as no cost was awarded in the judgment.
