Kano anti-graft boss seeks amendment to law establishing the commission
The Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado has requested for the amendment of the law establishing the commission.
SOLACEBASE reports that Rimingado made the request on Thursday when he visited the state Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi.
A statement by Musbahu Aminu Yakasai Information Officer, Kano State Ministry of Justice, said during the visit, Rimingado engaged in constructive discussions with the Commissioner on significant development aimed at fortifying the fight against corruption.

‘’The proposed amendments are envisioned to enhance the commission’s effectiveness and efficiency in tackling corruption, promoting transparency, and ensuring accountability within the state,’’ the statement said.
‘’Acknowledging the critical role of legal frameworks in combating corruption, Muhuyi Magaji expressed gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with the ministry.’’
He affirmed his commitment to fostering a robust legal environment that empowers the anti-corruption commission to address emerging challenges and uphold the principles of justice in the state.

The anti-graft Boss expressed gratitude to Barrister Dederi for his receptive stance and looks forward to a continued partnership in the pursuit of a corruption-free society.
On his part, the commissioner for Justice Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive legal framework in the battle against corruption.
He pledged the ministry’s support towards facilitating the necessary legal amendments and working collaboratively with the State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission to strengthen its mandate.
