Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has commenced an investigation into alleged corrupt practices of three Magistrates in the state.
The Commission said it has been inundated with various petitions against the magistrates to an embarrassing situation.
One among the Magistrate is Aminu Usman, who was removed as presiding judge of magistrate Court 34, Rijiyar Zaki and posted to the Library of the High Court due to numerous petitions bothering on corruption allegations.

A source at Kano Central Correction Facility said many of those awaiting trial that are victims of Aminu Usman, popularly called Dino were in celebration mood last Friday with the news of his removal from the court.
‘’Honestly, you need to see how many of the inmates were happy claiming that they were victims of Aminu Usman corruption atrocities. Two of them even noted that they can lead evidence against the former magistrate with most of his antics known to them,’’ said the source.
Director, Special Duties, Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Malam Usman Bello confirmed to Solacebase that the commission is actually investigating three Magistrates over alleged corruption.

Usman Bello said with the cooperation been enjoyed by the commission with the Judiciary, the Chairman of the Judicial Service Commission and Chief Judge of the state, Justice Nura Sagir has been notified of the petitions and investigation has started.
When asked about Aminu Usman that has been removed as a magistrate, Commission Director of Special Duties said that would not stop the investigation as three magistrates would be prosecuted if found guilty of the corruption allegations.
On the names of the other magistrates under investigation, he declined to give their names noting that it may jeopardize the investigation.
