The Kano state private health institution management agency [PHIMA] under the state ministry of health, in a joint operation with the Nigerian Medical Association [NMA] have apprehended a quack doctor, named Dr Ibrahim Adamu who for many years claimed to be a qualified medical doctor.
The Executive Secretary Private health institution management agency Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu said they have been on the trail of the suspect for long, though the effort to arrest him proved abortive until now, as he was shuttling from one hospital to another in the metropolis even the neighbouring states
A statement issued by the state health ministry public relations officer, Ismaila Garba Gwammaja and forwarded to Solacebase on Monday said Dr Usman Aliyu explained that already the suspect is in police custody for further investigation.

The Executive Secretary according to the statement said while at the police station the fake doctor confessed that the original owner of the document, he is parading works at a private hospital, where the suspect was a staff and stole the papers
Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu said previous reports revealed that the suspect was arrested and prosecuted by the same agency in 2014, at koki magistrate court and was jailed with the same offences.
‘’This time around we will make sure that the case is followed to the later to ensure that he would be dealt with squarely so that it would serve as a detriment to others,’’ said the Executive Secretary.
