Kano State House of assembly has suspended Dambatta Local Government Council Chairman, Alhaji Idris Haruna Zago for disorderly conducts of revealing government classified information, breaching of oath of allegiance and his failure to inaugurate the local government executive council.
Member representing Nassarawa constituency and Chairman House Committee on Works Ibrahim Ahmad Gama read out the motion which refer it as issue of urgent public importance.
Gama said that the move to present the motion was imperative due to the antics of the embattled Chairman of Dambatta local government, which the House said is entirely parallel to the provision of the stipulated orders and regulations enshrined in the constitution.
After the House deliberation, the matter was unanimously approved and presented by the House Speaker Yusif Abdullahi Ata, which suspended the Chairman for six months duration in order to conduct a thorough investigation regarding the issue.
