The court acceded to the withdrawal of the case.

After a lengthy discussion between both parties and the lawyer of the photographer, sources at the meeting told SOLACEBASE that the board accepted that Nasir Rabiu was wrongly arrested as the charges against him do not exist in the law establishing the agency.

This was attributed to the overzealousness of the operatives.

In an exclusive interview with SOLACEBASE, Nasir Rabiu said he was surprised to see the operatives of the board at his office on Thursday, taking away his staff.

‘’Incidentally, I was just arriving at my office yesterday when I saw the Censorship Board officials taking my staff away. I asked them what the problem was and they said they were arresting them over tax related issues,‘’ Rabiu said.

‘’I told them since I was around they need not arrest my staff but me.’’

‘’I asked them if they have any paper stipulating my offence , since I was never served any, they said they don’t have any.’’
