Kano council election peaceful , transparent-Garo
Kano State Commissioner for Local Government Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo has described the conduct of the local government election exercise in the State as transparent and peaceful.
He made the statement on Saturday after casting his vote at the 015 polling unit in Garo Primary School Kabo Local Govt area.
Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo said the orderliness, peaceful conduct, turn out of electorates and process leading to the election is commendable.

“This election has shown our commitment and strength to democratic principles”.
“I, therefore, commend Kano State Independent Electoral Commission for its effort to ensure credibility and transparency of the electoral process Garo said”.
He, however, commends security agencies, media and other stakeholders for playing a vital role in the peaceful conduct of the election across the 44 local government councils in the State
