The Management of Kano State Polytechnic on Saturday presented two automatic handwashing machines fabricated by its staff and students to the state government.

Presenting the machines to the state governor, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku, said that fabrication of the two solar-operated machines was to contribute to the fight against the spread of COVID-19.

Atiku noted that if the management got more support, the institution could produce the product in large quantities for distribution, especially to schools to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

According to him, another set of students has also fabricated a ventilating machine and the management has taken it to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) for verification.
