Kano upgrades educational equipment at Murtala Muhammad library

Kano state government has reiterated its commitment to upgrading facilities at the Murtala Muhammad library with modern learning equipment for the use of its teeming youths so as to improve their access to qualitative education.

The state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo made this know while inspecting new 300 laptops and desktops, at the library complex as renovation exercise at the complex is on-going.

This was contained in a statement issued by the ministry Public relations officer, Farouk Ghali Masanawa and made available to journalists on Sunday.

The statement said Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo appealed to the students to justify the government efforts by making use of the equipment in improving their knowledge acquisition.

‘’The commitment of the Abdullahi Ganduje led administration is incomparable with the free and compulsory education created and the efforts to ensure that Kano indigenes access scholarship,’’ said the statement.

It added that the Executive secretary, Kano State Library Board, Dr Ibrahim Ahmad Bichi appreciated the state Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the Commissioner for Local Government, Alh Murtala Sule Garo for the efforts to modernise the library.
