KIRS fires eight directors

The Kano State Internal Revenue Service (KIRS) has announced the removal of eight directors from their positions, ordering them to hand over all duties and responsibilities to their deputies.

Chairman, Kano State Internal Revenue Service (KIRS), Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir Dambo, announced this in a circular from his office.

It read, “As part of the ongoing efforts towards achieving the desired objectives of the present government, I am directed to inform you that the undermentioned directors have been relieved of their responsibilities and are to hand over to their deputies immediately.’’

According to the circular, the affected departments’ directors include: Director of Assessment, Muhammad Kabir Umar; Director Human Resources, Kabiru Magaji; Director Government Business, Ibrahim Sammani; Aminu Umar Kawu, Director Road and Other Taxes, and Muhd Auwal Abdullahi, Director Tax Audit, Investigation & Debt Management.

It added that other directors include Abubakar Garba Yusuf, Director ICT, Hamisu Ado Magaji, Director PAYE, and Bashir Yusuf Madobi, Director Legal & Enforcement.
