Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil has promoted 17 academic staff to the rank of Professors.
A statement issued by Deputy Head of Information and Public Relations Unit of the University, Malam Abdullahi Datti Abdullahi, on Friday and obtained by Solacebase said the promotion of the professors followed approval granted to that effect by the University Governing Council at its 50th meeting during the week.
‘’Also, the approval by the Council led by its Chairman and Pro-Chancellor Barr. A.B Mahmoud (SAN) was sequel to favourable external assessment reports in respect of the affected staff, ‘’said the statement.
‘’The assessment report indicated that six were assessed as Professors, while 11 were moved to the ranks of Associate Professors.’’

According to the statement, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Shehu Alhaji Musa has congratulated the newly promoted staff and urged them to strive towards uplifting the University through researches and academic excellence.
