PHOTOS: Kwankwaso immortalizes late father with construction of Juma’at Mosque

As part of activities to mark his 66th birthday celebrations, former Kano state governor and New Nigeria Peoples Party  (NNPP) presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has donated a Juma’at mosque to immortalize his late father.

The mosque, which was opened in memory of Late Musa Sale Kwankwaso, the Majidadin Kano and district head of Madobi Local Government in Kano died on 24th December, 2020 attracted representatives from within and outside state.

Senator Kwankwaso said while growing up, in his training, he learnt from various Islamic scholars that whoever wants to honour his parents, should give charity on their behalf, because the reward of such charity will be beneficial to the deceased even in the hereafter.

He stated that the mosque is his “own way of honoring his late father.”

“I pray that Allah accepts his act of Ibadah and reward him appropriately.”

While delivering a maiden Friday sermon at the new Juma’at mosque, with capacity to contain over two thousand worshipers, Shiek Ali Abdullahi preached on truthfulness as a major character of an obedient Muslim faithful.

The ultra-modern mosque was named Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso Masjid built at miller road, Bompai, Kano.
