Mainstream To Inject 200mw To National Grid By 2023

The Managing Director of Mainstream energy solution limited, Engineer Lamu Audu has revealed that the company has refurbished four out of the eight generating units that were not working when mainstream came on board and that, the company has been working towards adding 200mw to the national grid by 2023.

The MD made this known on Thursday during the 2019 NSE conference holding in Kano state, according to him the company has been working round the clock to see that a more cheaper power is being generated and supplied to Nigerians stressing the company’s move to inject more megawatt to the national grid.

Similarly, the President Federation of African Engineering Organization (FAEO), engineer Martin Manuhwa in his presentation during the conference stressed the need for African engineers to be involved in building African infrastructures as one of the important steps of developing engineering activities in Africa by Africans with improved investment in various sectors.

He added that there should be a reduction in the intervention funding which is in favor of private sector investment for the indigenous engineering firms to effectively address infrastructural challenges and sustainability.

The president added that, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is an excellent platform for promoting quality engineering education and also engineering capacity building in Africa among others.

He said the company has been working towards adding 200mw to the national grid by 2013.
