Mount Carmel College needs urgent renovation- Old students plead with Kwara Gov.

Mount Camel College, Old boys association has appealed to Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for an urgent and total renovation of the school so as to regain its lost glory.

The association said the renovation of the school would salvage the decayed infrastructural facilities which in no small measure enhance teaching and learning.

Mount Camel College, Ilorin old boys (Class 2005) Public Relations Officer, Ayuba Bashir, in a statement issued on Wednesday and sent to Solacebase acknowledged that the college is included in the list of schools scheduled for renovation by the Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration, it prayed priority attention would be accorded the school.

‘’The association appreciated and applauded the exemplary action you recently exhibited by leading some of your officials in cutting grass at our alma mater, Mount Carmel College, Oloje, Ilorin after the long COVID-19 break,’’ said the statement.

‘’The action, described by yourself as “community work” meant to inspire people to take responsibilities for government facilities located in their areas, has indeed not only caught the eye beyond the state but also left a long-lasting impression of how to lead by example.’’

‘’We cannot commend you highly enough for your unflinching determination and service in developing the education sector by providing enabling environment for teaching and learning in the state.’’

‘’More so, we are overexcited by the fact that our dear Mount Carmel College was chosen as the educational institution worthy of a platform where this rare symbolism can be projected to motivate us all.’’

‘’While Your Excellency’s endearing effort to lead clearing of the fields has been significant and commendable, there is a general feeling, however, that complete salvaging of the infrastructural facilities of the college would be the icing on the cake.’’

‘’We beseech God to always guide you in paddling the affairs of our dear state and as you seek to deliver your campaign promises.’’
