Umaru A. Pate, a Mass Communication Professor promised to focus on funding, town and gown relationship, as well as quality assurance and equally on ICT, so that the university will be ICT friendly institution and resource mobilization.

On his part, the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Alhassan Gani who extols the virtues of the incoming VC, reiterated that the process of his selection was very keen and based on the erudite professor’s antecedent, Umaru Pate will take the university to an enviable height.
He noted that he has directed all the Deans, Directorates and Heads of units to prepare hand over notes for the incoming Vice-Chancellor to have a document to work with.
