The member representing Rano, Kibiya and Bunkure Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives Kabiru Alhassan Rurum has described Education as a major pillar of development in any society.
Kabiru Alhassan Rurum stated this while speaking to journalists shortly after he was honoured with an award by Kano state polytechnic during its’ eighth convocation over the weekend, in recognition of his tremendous contribution to the development of education in his constituency and the state at large.
Kabiru Rurum, a former Kano State House of Assembly Speaker said in an effort to boost the morale of youths in the state to put more effort in seeking both Western and Islamic education, he had offered the sum of ten thousand naira to six hundred youths in Rano, Kibiya and Bunkure in the last few months.

The legislator noted that he had filed a motion at the national assembly seeking its’ approval to upgrade the status of Kano state polytechnic to federal poly, aimed at developing educational activities in the state.
Commenting on insecurity across the country, he said the National Assembly has made urgent call on the president to relieve the service chiefs and bring in new hands.
The lawmaker affirmed that though the Service Chiefs had done their best, it is very Paramount on them to step aside and pave way for others to contribute their own quotas to the development of the nation.
