The Executive Committee of National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS National Body) has been dissolved.

SOLACEBASE reports that this was sequel to the expiration of tenure of the Executive Committee of the national body since July, 2021 based on the provision of the NAKSS’s constitution

This was contained in a Press Statement issued and made available to newsmen by the Chief Information Officer of the State Ministry for Higher Education, Sunusi A. K/Naisa.

The statement quoted the Commissioner Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofarmata as saying the NAKSS’s constitution stated clearly that “the tenure of the office of National Executive Council shall be deem dissolved after one conventional year.”

‘’Therefore, in view of this development the current Executive Committee and the Senate are hereby dissolved and directed to handover all the affairs of the union to the new appointees,’’ the statement said.

‘’Consequently, the Honourable Commissioner of Higher Education, being the Patron of the students association in the State as stipulated in the NAKSS Constitution, has approved the appointment of the planning committee of NAKSS with the following members with immediate effect, these include Comrade Sani Saidu who will serve as Chairman,Yahaya Shuaiba, Yusuf Idris Garba, Bashir Isyaku, Jamilu Muhammad Wailari,Tijjani Nasir would serve as members.

‘’Others are Yusuf Ahmad Sarki, Usman Shuaibu Maidala, Umar Senior, Muhiyyidin Sulaiman as members while Abubakar Sa’ad was appointed as Secretary of the planning committee.
