Nassarawa Local Government Legislative Council in Kano on Friday recognized the Council Chairman, Dr Lamin Sani Kawaji with an award of merit over his developmental drive which is unprecedented.
The lawmakers said one of the criteria used for the award was his even distribution of development at the 11 wards in the area.
The Council House Leader, Saleh Musa Shuaibu said since the local government authority was inaugurated in 2018 to this moment, Dr Lamin Sani Kawaji has created cordial relations with all and sundry.
‘’Honestly, no local government Council has ever had it so good like we are experiencing in Nassarawa with a Chairman that carries everybody along in decision making with a listening hear, ‘’said the House Leader.

Solacebase reports that this the first time a Local Government Legislative Council would be honouring the Chairman in Kano.
In a remark at the event, Nassarawa Local Government Chairman, Dr Lami Sani Kawaji who was elated with the award and honour appreciated the Councilors over the gesture.
Dr Lami Sani Kawaji, who is also Kano State ALGON Chairman said with all sense of humility, he never regretted working with the Councilors and acknowledge the support they accorded him.
According to him, ‘’Within this short period of our stay in office, there is no ward that does not have a development program carried out in the area, that includes empowerment scheme, scholarship, supporting the vulnerable and payment of hospital bills of some .’’
