Nigerian Bar Association Bauchi branch has resolved to boycott the 2020 annual conference of the association except for the National Executive Committee of the body rescind the decision on the withdrawal of the invitation to Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai and apologized to members for the embarrassment.
Solacebase reports that the leadership of the Bauchi NBA has also dissociated itself from the decision of the National Executive Committee of the association at a meeting held on August 20, withdrawing an invitation to Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai to participate as a guest speaker at NBA forthcoming Annual General Conference.
In a release jointly signed by Bauchi NBA Chairman and Secretary Abubakar Abdul Hamid and Shamshudeed Magaji on Friday, said the withdrawal was predicated upon unscrupulous and unfounded allegations which are yet to be substantiated.

It said the NBA should be seen as promoting the rule of law and attainment of justice to all manner of people irrespective of cultural, tribal and political inclination.
