NDLEA Intercepts 895 Kilograms Of India Hemp In Kano

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency has intercepted 895 kilograms of cannabis in Kano.

NDLEA Commander, Kano Command, Dr Ibrahim Abdul stated this while briefing newsmen, on Wednesday in Kano.

He said the huge concealment originated from Ogbese, Ondo state and billed to be distributed to Kano and Bauchi states.

“Our operatives intercepted a truck at Kwanar Dan-Gora, Kiru local government area where huge concealment of suspected cannabis sativa amidst other goods was discovered,” He said.

“Three men and one female suspects were arrested in connection with the seizure” he confirmed.

Dr Abdul added that the truck driver is at large, and the female suspect in detention was said to be the wife of the driver on the run, who were said got wedded two weeks ago.

He appealed for the cooperation of the public, to remain steadfast towards compliments the efforts of his command to stem the tide and get Kano rid of illicit drugs.
