BUK Offers Scholarship To 300 Indigent Students.

Professor Yahuza Bello explained that the management is spending N15million on the indigents scholarship scheme, especially to those students who have demonstrated brilliant academic performance in their semester results but lack the financial strength.

Besides, the Vice-Chancellor noted that the university has recorded excellent performance of students of the institution during academic competitions outside and within the country.

He specifically cited the performance of four students who represented the institution in the Hult Prize Global Students Competition, in the United Kingdom, a knowledge drilling gathering that attracted over 125 countries.

Other categories of students honoured during the occasion include executive members of the students union government of the university, sporting team of the university among others.

According to him“ The university is providing the scholarship scheme to assist some of our students who are found exceptional in their academic pursuit but lacking the financial measures to meeting basic charges. The management has just released N15 million for this special scholarship scheme and that is expected to take care of 300 indigent students”.

Those who represented BUK at the Ashridge Business School London global competition are AbdulHafeez Adebayo, UbaiduRahman Suleiman, Mustapha Sani Abdullahi and Olumide Gabriel.
