Ooni-of-Ife palace reacts to separation story of Queen Naomi with Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi

The Ooni of Ife Palace, in Osun State,  on Thursday reacted to trending story Queen Silekunola Naomi separation from  Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

Solacebase recalls that earlier on Thursday, Queen Silekunola Naomi  said she was separating from the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

She made the disclosure in a post on her verified Instagram page.

“I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother of my adorable Prince,” she said.

She added that her focus will now be on her son.

However, the Ooni’s Director of Media and Public Affairs, Moses Olafare has denied the story tagging it a rumour.

He told Vanguard that “this is not the first time such rumours had been peddled. There was a time it was reported that she left the palace and the next thing, she gave birth. So, the story is not true and it should not be taken seriously.”
