Philanthropist Advocates Combining Vocational Trades With Higher Education To Check Unemployment

Daneji Community in Kano Municipal  on Sunday distributed Sallah clothes to orphans and less privileged in the area.

The chairman of the Association Alhaji Salisu Mai Manja stated this at Annual General Meeting of the Association held at the residence of Alhaji Mutari Dangana, Daneji quarters in Kano Municipal.

Alhaji Salisu Mai Manja said the Association sponsored the education of orphans and less privileged with school fees and uniform provided for them.

‘’The Association has also distributed JAMB forms and organized extra lesson classes to orphans and less privileged in the area. According to him, during Ramadan Fasting the Association has distributed 90 bags of rice, 100 bags of maize, 100 bags of millet and 1 bull to orphans and less privileged persons,’’said the Chairman.

In a remark, a renowned philanthropist Alhaji Mutari Dangana called on Youths to embrace vocational trades while pursuing higher education.

‘’Gone are the days when students relied on scholarship or assistance while undergoing post secondary education.’’

‘’Alhaji Mutari Dangana appreciated Accountant General of the Federation Alhaji Ahmad Idris for immense contribution to the community more especially securing employment to teeming youths of the area.’’

Earlier Speaking, the ward head of Daneji quarters Alhaji Abba Lawan highlighted some of the security measures adopted in the fight against crimes and drug abuse.

He noted that part of the strategy is monthly meeting with Divisional Police Officer of Mandawari under Police Community Relations Committee.

Also a member of the community  Barrister Dalhatu Ibrahim Daneji said the meeting was to exchange pleasantries and renew existing cordial relationship among residents of the area.

An Islamic scholar in the area, Malam Abdullahi Ibrahim Daneji reminded the gathering, the significance of brotherhood in Islam and assisting vulnerable in the society
