{PHOTOS} Curfew: Major roads deserted in Kano after tribunal judgement
Kano State Government on Wednesday night imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state after a governorship election tribunal judgement that annulled the electoral victory of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

According to a statement issued by the state police commissioner, Muhammad Usaini Gumel, the imposition of the curfew which is been implemented by security agents was to forestall the breakdown of law and order.
SOLACEBASE observed that security personnel mount roadblocks to enforce the curfew and arrest violators.

The security agents consist of the military, policemen, civil defence, FRSC, and others.
However, some pedestrians interviewed by SOLACEBASE said though they are aware of the curfew but with the nature of their businesses, they survive on whatever they are able to make daily.

Also, the curfew did not affect flight movement at the airport as normal commercial flight operations continues.
