Police exhume Mohbad’s corpse, arrest nurse

The Lagos State Police Command has exhumed the corpse of late singer, Mohbad so that an autopsy could be carried out.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the development on Thursday afternoon.

The PRO of the Lagos Police Command also confirmed that an autopsy has commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the youngster.

Police have also arrested the nurse who treated Mohbad before his death.

The Lagos State Police Command had earlier set up a special investigative team to probe the death of Mohbad.

The investigation team is expected to submit an interim report within two weeks.

The job of the team is “to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the victim, identify witnesses, culprits if any, and any person that will be helpful to the investigative process and deploy processes and other technological tools to aid the investigative course in line with the relevant provisions of the Nigeria Constitution and the State Laws.”

The 27-year-old singer, who was a former signee of Naira Marley at Marlian Records, died last Tuesday.
