The Department of State Services (DSS) has declared Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, wanted.
The Service Spokesperson Dr Peter Afunanya, who disclosed this in a briefing with journalists on Thursday night, said a joint team of security operatives raided Igboho’s residence around 1.34 am on Thursday, following intelligence reports he was stockpiling arms.
Afunanya said when the security operatives approached the house they came under heavy gunfire by nine of Igboho’s men.
He said six of the men were armed with AK-47s while the remaining three were armed with pump-action rifles.

According to him two of Igboho’s men were killed while an operative sustained injuries.
He said Igboho escaped during the exchange of gunfire and is on the run.
He urged Igboho to turn himself into the security agencies as the law would catch up with him.
The spokesman said 13 suspects were arrested in Igboho’s house and brought to Abuja
He added that various weapons, cash, and charms were recovered in the raid.
