PHOTOS: Gov. Abdulrazaq attends fidau prayer of late Balogun Alanamu, Abubakar Jos

The fidau prayer of the late Balogun Alanamu, Alhaji Abubakar Akanbi Jos, was conducted yesterday, Friday, at the Balogun Alanamu compound, in Ilorin West local government area of Kwara State.

The prayer session was led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Imam Bashir Solihu supported by Imam Maale and Imam Gambari.

Conducting a special sermon at the event, the Chief Mukadam of Ilorin, Ustaz  Sulaiman Dan Borno emphasized the need for those interested in the vacant seat of Balogun Alanamu to do so in a way it would not create disunity among the family.

‘’The late Balogun Alanamu, Alhaji Abubakar Jos, was a man of high integrity, simplicity and very religious. He led a fulfilled life. So I am appealing to those among you the family interested in the vacant position of Balogun Alanamu to do so with the fear of God, ‘’Dan Borno said.

‘’Things are changing, I recalled the horse riding prowess of the late Baloguns of Alanamu, Ali Inakoju and Abubakar Kara that was so exceptional. However, I am appealing to you all to always try to excel in a way that will showcase the community in a good light.’’

Those in attendance include Kwara State Governor, Malam Abdulrazaq AbdulRahman, former Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Salman Jawondo,  former House of Rep. Member, Hon. Masud Mustapha and Engr. Sulyman S. Wara among others.

Meanwhile, after the prayer session, Governor Abdulrazaq AbdulRahman paid a condolence visit to the family where he prayed for the repose of the deceased, Alhaji Abubakar Akanbi Jos.

Speaking on behalf of the entire family, Alhaji Iliyasu Baba Mualim, appreciated the governor for attending the fidau prayer.

He extolled the governor’s virtue of patience as displayed on the funeral day, where he had to wait standing for over 15 minutes before the arrival of the Chief Imam.

Also, speaking on behalf of the immediate family of the deceased, Dr Usman Abubakar Jos commended the governor with the support to the family for the burial that includes money and other materials.
