PMB: Tolerating the trespass of treachery cum treason-Bala Ibrahim

For sometimes now, something ominously frightening is circulating in the social media, to the effect that there is a conspiracy-secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful to Nigeria, using the northern part of the country as the laboratory for testing the efficacy of the illicit act.

Whether true or false, when a country is going through a number of unpromising events, that are giving worrying impressions about the advancement of something threateningly bad, it would be thoughtless of the leadership to completely surrender to faith. Pessimism should be called to work, including the suspicion that the worst could happen to ones country. More so, for someone like PMB, who had suffered multiple betrayal of trust, and a treacherous coup that caused the country dear, downplaying such threat would be the height of inanity.

One of the dreadful messages circulating reads, “There is a conspiracy of the political, religious & traditional institutions elites in the North, who have been locked out of Aso Rock & CBN since 2015, to hand over the country to PDP using killings & general insecurity.

The same with IPOB in the East before it backfired against them as these Eastern elites were slaughtered like chickens & their properties & livelihoods burnt to the ground by the monsters they created.

Now, they are shamelessly running from pillar to post to quench the fire they foolishly ignited on themselves.

That was the same thing these elites in cahoots with the Umbrella establishment wanted to achieve in the West using endsars.

When endsars failed, they resurrected, armed & funded their reliable murderous thug, Igboho to start the killing & destabilization agenda but God helped the West as the DSS chased him into incarceration in Benin Republic.

A former chief of army staff said in this country that Boko Haram is PDP & PDP is Boko Haram.

When all the intelligence report were in agreement that PDP will lose the 20I5 elections, they hatched a plan to allow the insecurity in the North to get worse so that on the eve of the elections, they will declare state of emergencies in key opposition states in the North to rob the opposition APC of the decisive votes from those states.

That’s why they rather shared the billions of dollars voted out to equip the military to their cronies to buy votes in their respective states.

When the National Assembly rejected the State of Emergency they wanted to declare on the key states on the eve of the February 14, 2015 elections & the then  INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega insisted in an international press conference that the commission is ready for elections even in all the communities of Borno state inspite of the sponsored insecurity ravaging the region, the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki who has earlier shared the billions of dollars meant to purchase arms & nearly emptied the CBN was quickly dispatched to London on January 22, 2015 (3 weeks to the elections) where he addressed the British authorities in Chatham House & a world press conference thereafter to insist the February elections will not hold.

He came back & his PDP government postponed the February elections by 6 weeks claiming they want to fight Boko Haram they deliberately refused to fight for 4 years until it nearly overran the North……”

In something similarly frightening, another narrative has come out, this time around from an investigative medium, thus, “High -level plots to cause destabilization in the Northern part of the country have been uncovered by the military and security agencies. Investigation by Saturday Telegraph revealed that two serving North West and North East Governors are allegedly championing the said agenda to set the troubled region on fire, thereby making it ungovernable.

Further findings revealed that an ex-governor of one of the North West states, a foremost monarch from the region, as well as opposition politicians are also involved in the deadly destabilization agenda.

Highly-placed sources, who spoke in confidence with our Correspondent, because of the sensitive nature of the matter, said already, strategy meetings to actualize the plan, have been held in Abuja. While one of the discreet meetings was held at the said North East Governor’s Lodge located in high-brow Asokoro area of Abuja, the nation’s capital, on December 10, another one was held at the Maitama, Abuja, residence of the former Governor also fingered in the plan to make the North ungovernable. A prominent Northern youth leader was said to be present at the Maitama meeting, where the plot was further perfected.

According to the dependable sources, violent protests have been planned to hold across the North, with consequential effect on governance, public order, and safety.

Specifically, the move is aimed as painting the government as weak and incapable of protecting lives and property of the people. There are also indications that the plotters may have concluded plans to enlist the support of separatist groups in the South, a development that may put national security in jeopardy”.

Only last week, the NSA, Gen. Monguno rtd, named three Islamic groups as sponsors of terrorism in Nigeria. Although he didn’t give the names of the personalities behind them, accusing fingers are pointing in the direction of a particularly wicked people, that are unhappy with the country’s leadership.

It is a pity that intelligence gathering and secret security services have been taken out of the hands of competent people and handed over to mediocre.

PMB had gone through this path before, so he cannot claim to be unknowledgeable about the ambition of these diabolically nefarious persons.

If he folds his arms and sheepishly permit a repeat of the 1985 episode, or something worse, posterity would never forgive him, not only for compromising, but for tolerating the trespass of treachery cum treason.
