Police, Army Arrest Trapped Robbers In Abuja Bank

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has foiled a bank robbery in Mpape, an area close to Maitama, Abuja.

FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, on Saturday, confirmed the incident to reporters

He said one of the suspects died in a gun battle with the Police and four others inside a branch of First Bank Plc arrested.

The CP said that the robbers were trapped in the banking hall for many hours following the arrival of the police and military personnel who surrounded the building.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma said: “investigation has commenced determining how they entered the bank and other things.”
