Police Deploy Over 1,000 Personnel To Sokoto Metropolis As Supreme Court Delivers Judgment Monday
The Sokoto State Police Command said it has deployed more than 1,000 regular and plain-clothes officers across the State.
The Supreme Court is set to deliver its judgment on Sokoto governorship election on Monday.
Sokoto State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Kaoje, told reporters on Sunday, that the measure was to ensure that peace reigns before and after the hearing.
He said that attention was being focused on the Sokoto metropolis and its environs as well as some strategic locations within their vicinity.

The Supreme Court was said to have notified the parties that decision on the case between the All Progressive Congress governorship candidate in the State, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto; and Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of the People’s Democratic Party would be delivered on Monday.
