Presidency confirms attempt to burgle residence of Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari

The Presidency has said there was an attempt to burgle the residence of the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari on Monday.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity announced this in a series of tweet on Monday evening.

According to the tweet, the burgle attempt of the residence was not successful.

The Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari has confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00am this morning but it turned out to be unsuccessful.

Solacebase reports that Malam Garba Shehu in the post did not elaborate more on the attempt described as foolish.

Also in a related development, Garba Shehu tweeted that the police is searching for a suspected burglar who unsuccessfully attempted to break into the house of Maikano Abdullahi on Thursday, last week. Maikano lives on the same street with the Chief of Staff, close to the Villa.
