Rivers Mosque Demolition : Remain Calm, Law Abiding- Ganduje Urges

Kano state government has described the sad story of Mosque demolition in Rivers state as shocking and promised that necessary lawful action would be taken over the happening.

“We received this information with a high degree of shock. And I am assuring the general public that, all necessary action against this demolition will be taken through appropriate authorities,” assured Ganduje.

This was contained in a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to Kano State Governor Abba Anwar on Friday.

The said necessary action, according to the governor include “Legal action against this demolition of the Mosque. The thing will not go without taking it to the appropriate authorities for redress.”

Governor Ganduje called on the public to remain calm, peaceful and go about their normal businesses, as the government has commenced discussion with appropriate quarters against the demolition.

“Kano state is known for peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians, we should, therefore, improve on that and remain calm and peaceful. People should please live peacefully with one another,” Ganduje urges.
