The Senate President , Dr. Ahmed Lawan has flagged of a 19 hand pump project at Giginyu ward , Nassarawa Local government area of Kano State.
This was contained in a statement issued by a Senior Legislative Aide on Public affairs to the Senate President, Bashir Hayatu Gentile,on Monday.
The statement said the senate president was represented at the occasion on Monday.
Solacebase reports that the project worth over N30m was sponsored by Bashir Hayatu Gentile from the office of the Senate President for the aide’s community in Kano.

Representative of the company handling the project, Alhaji Rufai Dansilaika sad the firm, Kabara enterprises Ltd, would complete the project within the stipulated period of one month as contained in the agreement, said the statement.

According to the statement, the village Head of Giginyu Alhaji Gambo Lawan and his ward head, Chief Imam of Jumma’a mosque Malam Habibu Umar and members of community lauded the effort.
The statement said the project is part of the 2020 budget.
‘’I thank the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan for his gesture, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau who recommended my appointment and Senator Barau Jibrin who make sure amount appropriate for the project was possible,’’ the statement added.
