Jigawa State Cash Transfer Unit under the federal government Social Investment Program has started distribution of Permanent program identity cards to newly enrolled Households for uplifting Program beneficiaries in nine local government areas.
The training and Communication officer of the unit Mustapha Yakubu Madobi stated this in a statement issued to newsmen in Dutse on Sunday.
The statement said that fifty-one thousand nine hundred and eleven beneficiaries are expected to collect their identity cards.
It added that the beneficiaries are from Gwiwa, Roni, Taura, Jahun, Kiyawa, Miga, Guri, Auyo, and Kaugama.
According to the statement, the unit had conducted training on livelihood adding that through saving and group mobilisation the beneficiaries were able to boost their economic status.
